Prior to Anthelio, Kelly worked with the Nevada Cancer Institute as the Vice President of Patient Administrative Services and Privacy Officer. Kelly also directed the administration of the full scale electronic health record for the practice
In her previous roles, Kelly worked with Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan as the Director of Medical Records via Anthelio, Executive Director of Patient Financial Services for the hospital and ambulatory clinics, and the liaison between clinical, financial and information technology areas regarding improvements. She was responsible for the front end of the revenue cycle including patient access, scheduling, medical records and nurse auditing services, and standardization in operational flow, documentation and coding.
Kelly worked at Saint Louis University for nearly 10 years serving many years as the Director of Medical Records for the medical groups distributed Ambulatory practices. Kelly also opened and managed both the operational and financial aspects of one of the larger ambulatory practices for Saint Louis University.
Kelly holds a B.S. in Health Information Management from Saint Louis University and Master's Degree in Training and Development from Webster University. After finishing her Master's degree, Kelly was responsible for the initiation of the training and quality department for the patient financial services department. In this role, she was responsible for the development of all training material, training, competency testing and quality checks for a full install of registration, scheduling, medical record and billing systems, including a full migration to an enterprise master patient index between all clinical locations. Kelly's focus and strengths revolve around a global understanding of healthcare operations and the direct impact to the revenue cycle and the need for good quality documentation.
